The Subversive Thread showcases four artists who challenge the conventional boundaries of fiber and thread art. AE the Cool is an R&B/Soul, recording artist and singer-songwriter, based in Augusta, Georgia. She is a storyteller, whose true thoughts and feelings are illuminated through her lyrics. Her candor and honesty work to give space to Black stories and Black voices. Her music expresses the love she has for others, and the love she has learned to give herself. She sang in her church as a child, and her talent blossomed as she grew. She developed her own unique, R&B sound that comes from a blend of jazz, hip-hop, and neo-soul.

Westobou Gallery hosts the 2023 Congressional Art Competition for Georgia's 12th district. Every year, members of the U.S. House of Representatives sponsor a nation-wide arts competition open to all high school students. The winning piece in each district will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol, and the student artists will be invited to attend the national winners' reception in Washington D.C. Join us as the winners are announced!

Westobou’s MICRO Gallery hosts works by Westobou’s student intern from Augusta University, Sandy Ha.
